Position: Junior Finance Officer

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger, journals, for a chart of Accounts are properly recorded and coded into the general ledger; Cash in Office and Bank, Bank Credit and Debit Advice, cash disbursements. accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenues and others;
  • Assist the Finance Manager in ensuring compliance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), Government Financial Regulations and SBM Financial and Purchasing Procedures;
  • Reviewing financial transactions, and recordings and preparing and submitting regular financial reports in consultation with the Finance Manager;
  • Participates in projects and annual financial and physical plans with the team assigned for this purpose:
  • Make sure that financial files are organized and make ready for annual external audit;
  • Make sure staff payroll records are updated and accurately maintained at Icad Office and Projects level, ensure that compliance with tax obligations (income tax, pension contribution fund and withholding tax) is maintained and paid to respective Revenue Office on time;
  • He/she reports to the Finance Manager at Addis Ababa Office and also to SBMETH Country Director on specific cases:

Requirements:

Education qualification:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from a recognized University

Work Experience:-

  • 2 years, one year and Zero year or fresh graduate in 2021

No. of Post:- 1 (one)

Sex: Male/Female – Competent females candidates are encouraged to apply;

Other skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and Financial skills;
  • Required to have advanced computer knowledge and accounting software like Peachtree and quick books, Peachtree accounts, is more preferable,
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure 1o meet deadlines,
  • Adaptable and flexible to different environments and willing to work with the team for a common goal

Language proficiency: – Fluent in reading, writing and speaking (English, Afaan Oromo, and Amharic)
