    • Identify, compile and maintain training materials for uses.
    • Provide information on technical problems and feedbacks to the technical team on time.
    • Report activity progress and situation on monthly bases to the HPO/Senior ERRO of the respective woreda.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with respective IRC staffs and partners like Community health workers, kebele leaders, schoolteachers by coordinating regular review meetings at kebele level at least once per month.

    Qualifications

     

    • BSc Degree/Diploma in Environmental Health, public Health and Social science field
    • 0-year experience for BSc Degree holders and 2 years’ experience for Diploma holders.
    • NGO experience is plus.
    • Hygiene promotion experience in local community settings.
    • Basic computer skill (Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail).
    • Ability to work as part of a team as well as to work autonomously when required.
    • Good command spoken and written English.
    • Knowledge of the local language is advantageous.

    • The objective of this internship role is to provide a training opportunity for interested graduates and to assist the Northern Ethiopia Response Manager and the Humanitarian and Resilience Program at large in providing effective admin and relevant programmatic support.
  • Specific responsibilities
    • Raise ROs and track procurements.
    • Assist with the preparation and dissemination of materials including meeting notes and reports and follow up on action points.

  • Your tasks:
    • Support the implementation of African Union’s Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa 2030 and cooperation between the African Union (e.g. AU Commission and AUDA-NEPAD) and the digital ecosystems in Africa and Europe
    • Support advisory services to the African Union Commission, African Union Member states and Regional Economic Communities (RECs) on the development of a competitive regional digital economy and the implementation of the AU Data Policy Framework
    • Support the setting up and management of grant agreements with African organisations to facilitate the implementation of the AU Data Policy Framework
    • Contribute to drafting of narrative reports for the European Union Commission and coordinate with EU implementation partners and the Directorate-General for International Partnerships

    • Assist in designing capacity building measures for regional stakeholders and events that provide political guidance on data policies and offer networking opportunities for political stakeholders

    Your profile:

    • Completed university degree (preferably Master) in a field relevant to the tasks (e.g. economics, international relations, law), ideally with research conducted in fields relevant to digital policy issues in Africa
    • Initial professional experience, preferably gained in Africa, on digital policy, digital business and investment, data governance and regulation is desireable
    • Initial working experience in EU-co-funded projects are reporting structures In-depth understanding of the digital transformation ecosystem in Africa; Experience in working in government relations and particularly in multilateral organizations such as the African Union is desirable
    • High motivation, strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a good understanding of contemporary digital policy debates
    • Strong interpersonal skills, a friendly, cooperative and supportive team spirit combined with the ability to work independently and self-reliant in a remote setup
    • Business fluency in English is required; Knowledge in German and languages of the African Union are a strong asset
