1:  Admin Assistant

  • Education: College Diploma/BA in Secretarial Science or Office Management, Business Management, or related field
  • Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Experience: 4-5 years of relevant work experience for diploma holders and 2-3 years of relevant work experience for degree holders.
  • Typical office environment.
  • Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 5 lbs.
  • Deadline: Jul 25, 2022

2: Finance and Grants Officer

  • Increasing self-reliance in performing tasks.
  • Needing lesser regular supervision.
  • Higher proficiency and confidence in operating within established operating procedures.
  • Education: Degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years financial management experience.
  • Computer skills, including experience in using accounting software and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government grants, contracting and auditing standards as they apply to effective management of multi-year funds.
  • Articulate, Professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to project field sites.
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to pre-plan critical actions and carry out actions in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Track record of being a team player, ability to deal with multiple tasks, flexibility and getting critical tasks completed on time.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic.

3: Senior Procurement Officer

  • Provides guidance to departmental areas.
  • Serves as point of contact for Country Offices regarding purchasing logistics for relocations.
  • May serve as a team lead to other staff.
  • Supervision requirements are limited to financial signature authority assigned by management.
  • Typically reports to Finance and operations Director.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Business Administration or Related Field.
  • Experience:
  • Typically requires 5+ years of procurement and administrative support experience.
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.
  • Certification in procurement preferred.

4: Finance and Operations Manager

  • Education: Master’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required; or a bachelor’s or certifies accounting degree with 8 years’ experience.
  • Experience:
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, including overseeing the finance and operations of equally large and complex projects.
  • Familiarity with USG rules and regulations is required.
  • Relevant skills in automated accounting software systems and database spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience establishing and maintaining good relationships with a wide variety of professionals and organizations.
  • Proven proactive skills in identifying cost savings, cost avoidance and efficiency opportunities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
  • Technical understanding of office equipment and building construction and maintenance.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic.

5: Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting

  • Education:  Master’s degree or equivalent required in public health, social and behavior change, health communications, marketing, communications or related field.
  • Experience:  A minimum of 6+ years working on KM and/or CLA elements within development programs, with a preference for SBC or demand creation project experience
  • Field experience in developing and implementing health projects and programs in Ethiopia and/or other African countries that have demonstrated impact, at scale
  • Strong understanding of the current state of the health sector in Ethiopia, with experience working on programs addressing at least three of the following areas: MNCH, FP/RH, malaria, nutrition, WASH, EID
  • Understanding of widely accepted formative research, pretesting, and monitoring and evaluation methodologies for SBC programs
  • Understanding of capacity strengthening strategies and approaches to develop and strengthen SBC knowledge, ability, and skills among a wide array of technical staff
  • Ability to translate research, learning, and technical information into practical tools and approaches that facilitate knowledge sharing for diverse, segmented audiences and through appropriate channels
  • Ability to articulate strategic approaches for gathering and sharing information across a wide range of health and/or development areas
  • Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations governing branding and marking
  • Deadline: Jul 25, 2022

6: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following or related fields: international development, international affairs, economics, political science
  • Experience:
  • 4+ years of relevant technical assistance experience
  • Field experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation activities as part of health programs in Ethiopia and/or other African countries preferred
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English and host country language; including an ability to write clearly and concisely on short deadline
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with MERL team;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • knowledge and experience with quantitative and/or qualitative analysis software preferred;
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a professional team, to set priorities, and manage high volume of activity
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors, and prepare reports
  • Applied knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for conducting monitoring and evaluation activities under US and Ethiopian government regulations
  • Demonstrated project and monitoring and evaluation management skills
  • Experience with USAID reporting systems preferred
  • Familiarity with data visualization software, interactive dashboard creation, or geographic information systems preferred
