Position 1:  Branch Manager – Class IV Branch

Job Summary

  • The job holder is responsible to plan, organize, lead, and control the banking activities of a branch office. S/he ensures that operating procedures, rules, regulations and code of practices of the bank are adhered by subordinates. The jobholder leads the branch sales and customer service initiatives and guides branch operational excellence. S/he prepares and submits annual budget, operational plan and activity and progress reports.
  • Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance and Economics plus a minimum of eight (8) years’ of relevant banking experience of which three (3) years in a supervisory position.

Position: 2. Principal – Strategic Customer Recruitment Officer

Job Summary

  • The jobholder is responsible to study and carry out Strategic Customer Recruitment tasks to ensure customer satisfaction, building on existing customers and grow the Bank’s customer base. S/he translates the business plans into acquisition strategies, developing targets, identifying growth opportunities and recommending the appropriate initiatives to achieve those targets of the bank.
  • Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Social Sciences or Business, preferably in Communications, Public Relations/Journalism plus a minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant work experience.
    • Professional courses in Marketing (an added advantage)
  • Masters in a Business-related course (an added advantage)

Position: 3. Senior – Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

  • The job holder is responsible for managing all building construction and maintenance project costs, from the initial calculations to the final figures. He/she works closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and other professionals to manage project costs and ensure completion within the established budget. He/she offers expert advice on cost management, contract negotiation, and procurement. He/she will also give input in ensuring that construction projects are profitable and financially sustainable.
  • Qualification & Experience: BSc Degree in quantity surveying, construction management, civil engineering or related field plus a minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the building construction projects.
    • Professional membership or certification in quantity surveying or construction management.

Position: 3.  Principal – Database Engineer (Re-advertised)

Job Summary

  • The job holder is responsible for the design, capacity, efficiency, security, scalability and availability of the overall database systems within the Bank, participate the effort to build, implement and support the data infrastructure. S/he adapts quickly to change in requirements and be willing to work with different technologies if required. Plays critical role in the development, adherence, and enforcement of security standards and policies. To design logical and physical databases or reviews description of changes to database design to understand how changes to be made affect physical database.
    Qualification & Experience
    BSc Degree in Information Technology and related fields plus a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Database management and banking areas.
    • Master’s in IT related field (an added advantage)
    • Certified on Oracle 19c Certified Professional – OCP (Mandatory)
    Certified on IBM Db2 Administration for Database Professionals v11.5 (an added advantage)

Position: 4.  Brand Manager – Interest Free Banking (IFB) (Re-advertised)

  • Job Summary
    The job holder is responsible to Develops and implements IFB brand marketing strategies to increase sales, brand awareness, and market share of the Bank. Key duties include conducting market research, analyzing data, creating and managing marketing campaigns, overseeing budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams like sales, and product development. Position 5. : Brand Manager – Wholesale Banking (Re-advertised)

Job Summary

  • The Jobholder is responsible for coordinating activities of the Wholesale Property Estimation. She/he checks appropriateness of estimation of the market value of collateral, loan properties, and ensures its genuineness vis-a-vis approved plans and title deeds by assessing the estimation reports of collateral valuation maker.
  • Qualification & Experience : BA Degree in Marketing, Banking & Finance, Economics or related discipline plus a minimum of eight (8) years’ of relevant experience is required within financial Sectors.

Position: 6.  Principal – Digital Media Marketing Officer

Job Summary

  • The jobholder is responsible to implement and manage the social media and digital marketing strategy that promote the Bank’s brand, products and services; maintain a brand’s online presence and sales by managing marketing message on various channels like social media networks, Google Ads, website content and email marketing. S/he builds a corporate image by delivering a strong and cohesive marketing message to public.
  • Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Social Sciences or Business, preferably in Marketing/Digital Marketing, plus a minimum of eight (8) years’ related experience.

  • The jobholder is responsible for managing the Marketing Strategy of the Bank, this role will rigorously focus on executing the Bank’s trade marketing strategy and the brand building execution framework of Awash Bank S.C. The Trade Marketing and Sales Officer will be responsible for implementing the Awash bank trade marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and increase brand awareness. S/he will work closely with the other marketing department team members to identify new business opportunities. Moreover, he/she works closely with other teams to develop various types of trade marketing campaigns.

 Position: 9. Account Manager – I

Job Summary

  • The job holder is responsible for providing support to Relationship Managers. He/she handles customers’ documents. He/she acts as a liaison between Relationship Managers and other departments within the Bank. He/she also works collaboratively with Relationship Managers to ensure that they have access to the resources and information required to manage client accounts efficiently.
  • Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Business related fields plus, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in banking sector; of which three (3) years at operational work preferably in credit and trade service operations.
  • Proficiency in Chinese language is mandatory.

Position:  10.  Trade Marketing & Sales Officer

Job Summary

  • The jobholder is responsible for implementing the Awash bank trade marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and increase brand awareness.  Position:  11.Information Security Engineer II

Job Summary

  • The job holder is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the Bank’s IT systems, networks, applications, and digital platforms. He/she will monitor security infrastructure, implement secure configurations- participating in deployment projects, identifying security gaps, and recommending enhancements. He/she works closely with other information security management team, infrastructure team, and application and system development team to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Bank’s IT assets.
  • Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering and other related fields plus a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a dedicated Security Engineering or Infrastructure Security role, preferably in a large-scale enterprise or financial services environment.
  • Professional in Information Security area like Vulnerability Management, Ethical Hacking, and any other related areas (an added advantage).

Position: 12.  Administrative Assistant I
