UNESCO China Fellowship 2026 for International Students: Applications are invited to apply for the UNESCO China Fellowship 2026 in China. Applicants from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Arab world are welcome to apply for this program. There is no application fee. September 2026 will mark the beginning of the academic period. There are 27 fellowships available for researchers and students.
UNESCO promotes humanity and inspires global cooperation for a brighter future. UNESCO and the Government of the People’s Republic of China will co-sponsor a total of seventy-five (75) fellowships for advanced studies in various fields, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, during the academic year 2025–2026, with the goal of advancing the human resource development and capacity building of developing countries, as well as improving international exchanges in the fields of education, culture, communication, science, technology, and friendship among peoples of the world.
UNESCO and the Republic of China together offer the fully funded UNESCO China Fellowship 2026. It is called the UNESCO/China Co-Sponsored Fellowships Program for this reason. The UNESCO China Fellowship’s goal is to give recipients the opportunity to study for a master’s or doctoral degree at a Chinese university or conduct independent research in China under designated supervisors. UNESCO and the Chinese government are funding this fully financed scholarship in China.

- Doctoral candidates must be under 40 years old and hold a master’s degree.
