- A detailed schedule of events for the scholarship period, with a primary emphasis on the growth of international leadership competencies;
- A recommendation for a mentor that includes a brief CV attesting to the mentor’s suitability for the position and a letter of acceptance from the advised mentor
Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be considered for the WONCA Europe Scholarship Program 2026 (Funded), students must:
For the candidates:
- Speaks and reads English (CEFR, C1 level in speech, writing, and reading; no certification is required);
- In the final year of family medicine specialty training OR
- Up to ten years after completing family medicine specialty training OR
- At least three years and up to ten years of employment in family medicine/general practice settings (for nations lacking specialty or comparable vocational training as outlined in Article 41 of Council Directive 93/16/EEC and the Directive 2005/36/EC);
- A member of WONCA Europe’s full national member organization.
For the mentors:
- A minimum of ten years of experience in general practice or family medicine;
- At least ten years of global experience in the fields of general practice organization, family medicine, policy, leadership, and networking;
- Must ready to assist participating physicians by evaluating and appraising their work and offering suggestions, counsel, and encouragement;
- Cannot serve on the Scholarship Committee;
