The Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa will identify 20 Ethiopian students to join the 2025 cohort of the ESP program. The objective of the ESP is to assist these high-achieving students in the U.S. college and university admissions process.
The program supports students through regularly scheduled training sessions throughout the U.S. college application process. It includes academic counseling, preparation for standardized tests (TOEFL, SAT), and assistance with college application essay writing. Every year, twenty Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are available. The second week of September 2025 will mark the start of the academic year. The Master of Quantum Technologies and Engineering is known as QuanTEEM. The scholarship award is, however, subject to the following geographical constraint: no more than 10% of the total number of scholarships awarded during the existence of the QuanTEEM master’s program can be awarded to candidates from the same nationality. There are a few more scholarships available that are focused on particular parts of the world and are not governed by the aforementioned regulation.
The Erasmus Mundus Master in Quantum Technologies and Engineering (QuanTEEM) is a credential of excellence financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union and supported by the collaboration of 3 international universities. A program around quantum technologies is open to the top foreign students who desire to study in Europe. QuanTEEM offers a comprehensive plan in quantum technologies, spanning all its present applications and harnessing a wide spectrum of industry cooperation. The ICB Laboratory at UBE, led by Stéphane Guérin, who is also in charge of the project, the Department of Physics at RPTU, and the Center for Complex Quantum Systems at AU all contribute to the unique and inventive content of QuanTEEM in Europe.

Eligibility Criteria:
All nationals are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Students are welcome to apply from anywhere in the world, regardless of where they are from.
Candidates must be in their last year of a bachelor’s degree in science or an equivalent degree.
International applicants at the undergraduate level may also apply for these master’s scholarships.
A strong background in physics and chemistry is needed to be considered for admission.
Students must have skills in mathematics and computer science.
Foreign applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency.
