The Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme is an established national initiative, funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and managed by Research Ireland.

The Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme is unique in the Irish research landscape and complements other channels for funded postgraduate education in the Irish ecosystem. Among its features are:

  • individual, prestigious awards for excellent research in the name of the applicant;
  • an objective selection process using international, independent expert peer review;
  • funding across all disciplines, from archaeology to zoology; and
  • awards for bottom-up, non-directed research, with the exception of those funded by our strategic funding partners.

Pioneering proposals addressing new and emerging fields of research or those introducing creative, innovative approaches are welcomed. Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway Share Company (or Shortly Ethio-Djibouti Railway (EDR)) was established in April 2017, based on the Bilateral Agreement signed on 16th of December 2016 between the two states, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Djibouti. The Shareholders Agreement subsequently signed on the 11th day of January 2017 among Public Bodies and State Enterprises of the two countries, to be administered pursuant to the commercial laws of Ethiopia.

  • You Must Have Your Bachelors Degree in Any Discipline.
  • You Must Complete Your Bachelors or Masters Degree in 2017 or After 2017.
  • You are Not eligible if Your bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree is Completed before 2017.
  • If you’re still in college studying for your first/bachelor’s degree, you’re eligible to apply as long as you complete your first/bachelor’s degree before you enroll as a graduate student at Stanford.

  • BSC degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science or any other related fields.

Know-How (Skills) (Technical competencies):

  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Sisense, or similar).
  • SQL Mastery (complex joins, window functions, query optimization).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL tools (dbt, Airflow, Talend).
  • Scripting skills (Python, R, or Bash) for data manipulation/automation.
  • Familiarity with version controls (Git) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Strong communication to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to data quality and usability.
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education and Work Experience:

  • MA or BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Transport Management, or any other related fields.
  • 0 years for Masters or 3 years for BA In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Fleet, and related job positions

Know-How (Skills) (Technical competencies):

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes and terminology.
