The bank is among many other banks which have sprung up and started selling shares in the last 3 months. Ahadu Bank established with 760 million birr capital. One of the newly incoming banks, Ahadu Bank S.C under formation completes its share selling. On Saturday January 2, 2021 the bank held its first founding meeting at the Ghion Hotel. The bank has been effectively going through the formation processes for the past 11 months.
Ahadu Bank, one of the 20+ banks under formation in Ethiopia has managed to perform it’s first formation assembly in Ghion Hotel on January 2, 2021. The bank managed to sell 760 million birr worth of shares and managed to collect 540 million birr in paid up capital

The Ahadu Bank wants to recruit employees in the following vacant positions the details of which are mentioned below.
Position 1: Manager, Digital Banking Applications
- Education: MSC, MA, BSC in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Information Technology, Any other related fields.
- Experience Requirement: 7/9 years of experience in digital banking activities, of which 2 years as team leader Digital Banking Applications or related position.
Job Description:
- Responsible for managing and supporting the Digital Banking systems of the Bank under the IT department;
- Responsible for handling the Bank’s system integration and interfacing tasks;
- Handle integration tasks with various types of web services and API Integration such as (Open APIs, partner APIs, Internal APIs, and Composite APIs);
- Handle integration tasks with ISO and SWIFT messages and card payment systems;
- Handle both local and international payment systems integration tasks (VISA, MasterCard, …) and provide the required support to users’ queries;
- Research new features/technology related to payment and digital systems;
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the Bank’s Digital systems and Integration operation and support;
- Performs other related activities as might be given to him from time to time by his immediate supervisor;
- Place of work: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Branch Manager I
- Qualification Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration or other related fields of studies.
Experience Requirement: Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience at a Bank out of which One (1) Year as Customer Services Manager or equivalent role.
Candidates applying for managerial positions shall possess key competencies and skills including:
- Excellent teambuilding and analytical skill
- Ability to work under pressure
- Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to distribute sales targets and production goals to staffers and manage achievement;
- Knowledge of commercial business law, sector rules and regulations;
- Results driven and customer focused
- Leadership and human resources management skills
The Branch Manager will plan, organize, lead, and control the banking activities of a branch office. S/he will ensure that operating procedures, rules, and code of practices of the Bank and regulators directives and country law are adhered to by all staff. S/he will also coordinate the sales/business development efforts of the branch.
The Branch manager will also lead the customer service initiatives and guides branch operational excellence. S/he will prepare and submit annual budget, work plan and activity and progress reports. The jobholder will also participate in various community activities and keep in close touch with the business community to promote services offered by the Bank.
Place of work: Addis Ababa and Hawassa
