During the 1984/85 drought, World Vision Ethiopia participated in a massive relief operation that saved the lives of millions of people. Starting its operation with emergency intervention in some parts of Ethiopia, World Vision currently operates in 57 Area Programs (APs) implementing major programmes, such as, Education, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition, Emergency Response, Faith and Development, Food Security, Economic development, Climate change and environment projects and other cross cutting programmes.

1: Production Specialist

  • Required Professional Experience: 5-years experience producing high-quality video and photo productions in television and broadcast media, international humanitarian and development sector, corporate and business communications, or creative agencies
  • Demonstrated experience working with external production partner relationships, such as agencies or production companies
  • Advanced technical skills in several of the major areas of the job, such as; photo and video production, including Canon DSLR camera operation, seinheisser audio recording, Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, editing and animation,
  • Proven experience of training and capacity building of others
  • Advanced level of computer proficiency, Mac and PC
  • Experience working with children and youth Education,
  • Required Education training, license, registration, and certification
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, Journalism, Arts or similar
  • Professional certifications in any of the technical areas of communications or marketing
  • Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the marketing, communication, and media industry

2: Product Design Specialist

  • Required Professional Experience: 5 years of experience as a product designer in deferent profit and non-profit making international organizations with computer-aided (CAD) tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working with external production partner relationships, such as agencies or production companies
  • Advanced technical skills in several of the major areas of the job, such as; graphic design and publication management including advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Aftereffects, Animate, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, etc)
  • Creativity with 3D modelling software as well as experience with design programs such as Illustrator and Sketch.
  • Excellent eye for aesthetic design and customer appeal
  • Good understanding of colour science and combinations
  • Artistic and innovative flair
  • Excellent attention to detail, Meticulous and diligent
  • Advanced level of computer proficiency, Mac and PC.
  • Experience working with children and youth
  • Required Education training, license, registration, and certification
  • Minimum BA Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, Journalism, Arts or similar.
  • Professional certifications in any of the technical areas of marketing or business development.

3: Social Worker

  • Experience: At least 1-year relevant experience in Child Protection and related areas, program/project development and management in emergency context is required.
  • Direct case management and experience working with children and adolescents is an asset.

4: Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence Prevention Officer

  • Qualification Required: BA Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, and relevant field of social sciences
  • Technical Training qualifications required:  Professional technical skill associated with WASH related training, experience is desired
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Child Protection and GBV trainings and related areas, program/project development and management in emergency context is required.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing child protection and GBV trainings to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Direct case management and experience working with children, women and adolescents is an asset. Knowledge and experience on Gender Based Violence programming including prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse(PSEA) an asset.
