1: Advocacy Advisor Consultant – Humanitarian and Education 

  • LOCATION: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • TYPE OF CONTRACT: 3 month consultancy
  • Education to degree level – an academic background in a directly relevant field s desirable.
  • Proven record of advocacy success and ability to develop and implement strategy, preferably at the regional level in Africa.
  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in.
  • Demonstrated understanding of development and humanitarian issues, including in education.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the AU, and its role in development, human rights and humanitarian issues.
  • Commitment to Save the Children’s values.
  • Experience of, and willingness to travel widely, often at short notice and in conflict- and crisis-affected settings

2: Thematic Director – Education and Early Child Care & Development/Education

  • LOCATION:  Addis Ababa
  • Post graduate level education fields
  • A minimum of 12 years education and ECCD/E technical management and leadership experience with sound and hands on field experience with both emergency and development contexts.
  • Strong, proven and successful education and ECCD/E technical and policy level engagement with donors, academia and CSOs at national and international levels
  • Experience in providing technical oversight to a portfolio of diverse projects, including humanitarian and development, and research and advocacy projects.

3: Data Management Coordinator

  • No of Positions: 1
  • Duty Station: Addis Ababa
  • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (IT) and or Statictics and health related.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience with NGOs or other organizations, including significant experience – data entry, analysis, and generating database reports.
  • Experience of working in all aspects of planning, monitoring and evaluation, ideally including: programmatic audits, systematic tracking and analysis, practical experience of developing real time monitoring and assessment systems.
  • Ability to ensure appropriate and coherent data keeping, generating and share accordingly.
  • Ability to ensure true participation in program planning, monitoring and evaluation (children and adults).
  • Significant experience in manipulating different data’s, hands-on skill of extracting important nutrition information’s and share as per the need.
  • Excellent documentation skill is a must
  • Excellent time management and planning capacity. Availability and willingness to work extra hours.
  • Ability to work with children and affected individuals and groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills in order to deal tactfully and sensitively with a multicultural people in a large organization and able to manage complex projects information’s, data’s.
  • A flexible and initiative-taking, proactive, inspiring attitude with the ability to manage and prioritize an unpredictable workload.

4: Award Management Support Coordinator (Re-Advert)

  • Academic Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, International Development, or other similar cross-applicable area – at First/Second:1 class, or Distinction/Merit.
  • Work Experience – minimum 5 years work experience, out of which 2 years of Grants analysis and reporting or Programme Management.
  • Demonstrates Computer knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) to do basic graphs, pivot tables, and present data analysis in a simple, easy to understand format.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English;
