The John Snow Inc. (JSI) wants to recruit employees in the following vacant positions the details of which are mentioned below.

position 1: Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Advisor – COVID-19 (M-RITE Project/Ethiopia)

  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, informatics or statistics preferred;
  •  Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in M&E for international donor funded projects, preferably including experience with USAID-funded projects;
  • Knowledge and experience with MCHN programming and activities required;
  • M&E experience related with demand creation, health promotion, behavioral change communication or addressing hesitancy in health related areas, preferably on immunization- needed
  • Strong experience with data management in Ethiopia, including data entry and cleaning, data analysis and report writing;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines;
  • Knowledge of evaluation research methods (qualitative and quantitative), including data processing;
  • Computer proficiency including use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with advanced statistical packages (e.g., Stata), or data collection and reporting platforms (e.g., DHIS2) a plus;
  •  Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, and mentoring skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Must have demonstrated organizational skills;
  • Written and spoken English required;
  • Ability to undertake local travel;

position 2: Immunization Advisor – COVID-19 (M-RITE Project/Ethiopia)

  • Master of public health (MPH) or other equivalent qualifications with first degree in health related disciplines
  • ● Minimum of six years working experience in immunization, preferably with routine immunization experience
  • ● Should have at least two years of experience related with demand creation, health promotion, behavioral change communication or addressing hesitancy in health related areas, preferably on immunization.
  • ● Should have experience in supporting the planning and/or implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in Ethiopia
  • ● Demonstrated experience working with the sub-city, ZHD or RHB and involvement in technical working groups (must understand local government structures)
  • ● Strong organizational, management and communication skills to influence partners and decision-makers at the regional, zonal, and woreda level
  • ● Computer skills that include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point
  • ● Ability to produce accurate data and reports
  • ● Fluency in English and Amharic.

position 3: Program Manager- COVID-19 (M-RITE Project/Ethiopia)

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Masters degree or above in medicine, public health, or similar field of study
  • At least ten years of experience in public health or a related field; experience with immunization-related activities is required.
  •  At least five years of team supervision experience
  • Current experience supporting the planning and/or implementation of COVID-19 vaccination efforts is highly desirable
  • Should have experience in managing projects on demand creation, addressing hesitancy or behavioral change communication related areas
  • Familiarity on managing USAID funded projects
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage various activities in a team setting with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  •  Computer literacy required (Excel, MS Word, and Windows); familiarity with accounting and database software highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a team setting.
  •  Fluency in English and Amharic.

position: 4: Senior Immunization Communication Expert- COVID-19 (M-RITE Project/Ethiopia)

  • Masters degree in public health, nursing or related field with more than ten years’ experience in public health program management. Having masters degree in communication, journalism or similar field of studies with strong experience on demand creation on health related areas will also be considered
  • A strong knowledge of immunization programming, maternal and child health, and behavior change. Strong knowledge of both trusted and innovative techniques for improving uptake of health services is highly desired.
  • At least five years’ practical experience in a senior management position and demonstrated capacity to provide strategic leadership to government and partner counterparts
  • Strong practical experience implementing behavior change and demand related activities at multiple levels (including community level). Practical experience in immunization programs, in urban and/or rural settings will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Health structure in Ethiopia.
  • Experience working with international immunization partners, such as USAID, WHO and UNICEF.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic.
  • Deadline : Aug 21, 2022
