It was established in 1995 to engage in general insurance business pursuant to the enactment of the Insurance Business Proclamation 86/1994 with a subscribed capital of Birr 25 million and paid-up capital of Birr 7 million.
In 2005, NISCO turned into a composite insurer by adding life business and increasing its paid-up capital to Birr 35 million. During the last five years, NISCO has grown very quickly and currently, its Paid-up capital reached Birr 600 million.

Position: Graduates Trainee
- With a view to groom fresh talent of different academic backgrounds into future Insurance Professionals. Nyala Insurance S.C. (NISCO) would like to recruit recent graduates who would join its Graduate Trainee Program-V (NISCO GTP-V).
- Successful candidates will be given comprehensive training in order to enable a challenging and enjoyable professional career. The training will also bridge the gap between college and work life. Accordingly, if you are the one that fulfill the following criteria, you are cordially invited to apply for NISCO GTP-V program that assures promising opportunities for your professional growth.
- Have 1st degree in Insurance, Management, Marketing. Accounting, Economics and related fields of study;
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Persistently craving to excel with a passion to grow;
- A graduate of 2014 E.C./2022 G.C. or later period with No work experience;
- Under 23 years of age.
- We are looking to recruit 25-30 (Twenty-Five Thirty) recent graduates on a permanent basis.
