Vacancy Details

1: Procurement Officer

  • Location: Jara /Woldia, Amhara
  • Salary: As per DEC salary scale and benefit packages
  • Support Logistics Supply Chain, review and prepare all documentation during the procurement process
  • Receive and process Procurement Lines (PL) on reception frequencies;
  • Provide support in market analysis;
  • Ensure best available prices & quality, collect quotations, suppliers references;
  • Review and confirm all procurement request before processing;
  • Ensure that PL includes all required specifications and supporting documents;
  • Update and share the Procurement Follow Up (PFU) on weekly basis through Link,
  • Monitor deliveries to the department/bases/programs
  • Educational Background: BA in Business Administration and Management

2: Shelter Officer

  • Location:
  • Jara /Woldia, Amhara
  • Salary: As per DEC salary scale and benefit packages
  • Experience
  • MSc/MA in Engineering
  • At least 2 years of direct CSO work experience
  • Excellent understanding of local context preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members in a cross-cultural environment

3: Finance Officer

  • Location: Jara /Woldia, Amhara
  • Salary: As per DEC salary scale and benefit packages
  • Educational Background : BA in accounting
  • Ensure completeness of supporting documentations for payment.
  • Responsible for petty cash disbursements, replenishment and petty cash count.
  • Ensure bank and petty cash transactions are recorded on a daily basis.
  • Prepare monthly cash-flow control sheets with original documents of all transactions and
  • Review field budget activities to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed and ready in time for month end and quarter end close as per agreed timetable,
  • Review payment vouchers, bank & petty cash control sheets,
  • Verify travel expense reports.
  • Issue, track and reconcile approved travel advances to field office staff; review
  • Required No: 1
  • With excellent problem solving skill
  • Should be strong communicators 
  • Full of Accounting skill.

4: Community Mobilization Officer

  • Location: Jara /Woldia and Debrebrehan, Amhara
  • Salary: As per DEC salary scale and benefit packages
  • Support the identification of volunteers in the communities by the community leaders
  • Facilitate volunteers’ training (and other training as per request)
  • Support and mentor community volunteers to carry out their activities on community sensitization, screening and follow up of cases on treatment
  • Under mentorship and guidance of the Community Mobilization Coordinator, meet regularly with local leaders
  • Lead on planning and implementation of feedback mechanisms with leaders, communities and beneficiaries
  • Link with other organizations present in the area
  • Plan logistics and materials needed for the activities to be carried out
  • Prepare a monthly plan of field activities and Prepare activities’ reports
  • Supervises and mentor Community Mobilization Assistant assigned
  • Required No:  Jara/Woldia 1 and Debrebrehan 1

5: Information Management Officer

  • Location:Jara/Woldia and Debrebrehan, Amhara
  • Salary:: As per DEC salary scale and benefit packages
  • Create operational data management systems to enable effective analysis and monitoring including data quality control protocols and standards for validation and sharing of data;
  • Propose solutions to improve the current Information System and switch to a better and more stable system.
  • Implement and regularly update the Information Management Strategy and the dissemination Plan for information management related products
  • Ensure web site and web server functionality and efficiency
  • Make sure hardware and software are functioning
  • Identify and obtain the needed data and information elements required to produce analysis and information products;
  • Support the PMEL Team in different activities such as development of forms and survey databases as needed
  • Required No:  Jara/Woldia  1 and Debrebrehan 1
  • BA  IT and minimum 2 year work experience
  • Deadline: Apr 30, 2022

6: Site Level Coordinator

  • Manages and coordinates all District emergency planning activities.
  • Reviews and updates the Emergency Response Plan
  • Develops and presents awareness to employees on emergency response and security topics such as emergency procedures, evacuation, and active shooter.
  •  Plans, designs, and executes emergency response drills and desktop exercises, and evaluates the efficacy of the drills and exercises.
  •  Manage DEC’s relationships with various Partners stake holders and other concerned bodies.
  • Preparing and timely submitting all project-related reports and documents
  • Required No:  Jara/Woldia 1 and Debrebrehan 1
  • Educational Background
  • MA/BA in social  work or a related field with the  equivalent of minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar poison
  • Additional Skill
  • Strong strategic leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent communication skills,
